Just got back from Lights Out: the Philippine Yaoi Convention. It was a fun, small con, and between the BL anime viewing, contests, and the engaging discussions, I had a really great time. (Kudos to the mods for discussing the nature of fandom and the suggested etiquette of it all (i.e. we're all fans regardless of age, seniority, and preferences; live and let live, yeah?))

Red Threads also had a booth there, and we were able to sell prints, bromides, and more custom plushies. (Yay target market). XDDD

The organizers were great, and it's always fun to meet my LJ friends in person. *glomps [info]kotomine* XD

You look GREAT, specially when you have your hair in a ponytail? and that style that reminds me so much of Quistis Treppe, from FF8. You should cosplay her sometime!

quistis was my favourite female character in ff8, but unfortunately i don't cosplay women. XD if i ever do again, she's definitely on the top of my list, though! :D

I really love the LO mods. They manage to control the participants and keep their heads cool with all the rowdy fangirls running about in the convention room xD

I really loved your Loveless cosplay. The Yuki/Shuuichi pair only won because they were a couple in real life (I think)! Haha! But I guess they deserved it XP

I agree completely! Were I in their position, I think I'd have lost it and decked some of the noisier participants /way/ back. -_-;;

Wah, sankyuu~! I thought the gravipair was really fun, though-- they knew how to work the crowd. XD (And we weren't part of the compet because we were a sponsor, we really just wanted to be dorks cosplay. XDDD)

I posted about coloring my hair a few days back, I think, but this is what it looks like under light. A darker room makes it look more ash/mahogany... :D

Since I know nothing about the cosplay that you love, I cannot say if you are true to your character or not. Knowing how much a stickler you are, though, for details, I'm sure that you were spot on. I only know that you look gorgeous, dahling, with the blonde hair. And your body...*sizzle* is HOT!!! Your little kitty friend is adorable, too.

Actually, the discussion was more about trying to tell the elitists to stop being such asses to new fans, and a reminder to cut back on wank because fandom is really about sharing the love. It was really great. :D

Ooo...pretty!

Just this past weekend 3 friends of mine and I cosplayed a Loveless group. I was Yayoi; my friends cosplayed Ritsuka, Soubi and Yuiko. Sadly Yuiko and I felt so loveless since everyone wanted Soubi and Ritsuka's pictures, and not ours. Nobody actually successfully guessed my character, most people guessed I was supposed to be Ritsuka; even with the tip of my hair and tail being grey :P...And cause I want to share piccies...
