Art: House/Wilson x 2
I am vastly amused at the fact that I was up at 8am on a Sunday morning, because I feel absolutely wonderful. I also feel like I have so much free time for the rest of the day, lol! Only work can get me out of bed this early-- not even Ben-the-better-half could pry me from my covers on a lovely cold morning. ^_^;;

In any case, House art. Didn't have the chance to post it before, as I've been drawing more often than I've been scanning, but there you go. :) Hope you guys like. ^_~

Where House is bored, Wilson frets, and secretly they are both immeasurably happy.

Both are wonderful! Isn't House just the grandest show? I love the way Wilson and House interact... like an old married couple. The second drawing is so perfectly in character for them and the first... sad but wonderfully done!

Thank you, Alex! :D *hugs*

Oh yes, I love it so much! Wilson acts as if he's been married to House instead of all his other wives, lol. The bit where he spends Christmas with House instead of Julie really got to me... XD

Thank you so much... I'm so happy you liked them! :D

Eyes are always the hardest part for me to do... if they don't turn out, I tend to not finish the piece at all. XDDD

Wilson is simply adorable in the first. Honestly. I melted. :) Please tell me someone pays you to draw, because these are really really great!

Quick question from someone else who loves to draw: What kind of paper did you use?

Awwwww. *beams* His Wilson mojo is working, lol!

*nods nods* Yes, I'm a graphic artist and was a painting major. ^_^

You're such a sweetheart! *loves*

I usually use bristol board for chalk, then brown paper with artist's crayon, and usually just plain bond paper for pencils. I used linen paper for the latest pieces, though, which is why you can see texture. It's not great for pieces you want to last, though, because the linen paper I have is too thin.

If you want to do pencils, I'd suggest a nice watercolor paper that you sandpaper the roughness down with. It'll last decades and you can control how rough/smooth you want the surface. :D

Gah. How do you do this? Again, you've managed to get the eyes just right, most notably in the first pic, and...every other feature outward from those points seems to fall gracefully and perfectly into place. If that's how you draw it, it's working. :)

I especially love Wilson's worry lines in that first picture, and the set of House's jaw. In the second, it's the calm--well, bored--but still yet contemplative look in House's eyes. He's always got something going on behind those big 'ol blues, and you capture it just...ooh, so incredibly well. Your art is shapshot reminders of why these two are my favorites. Thank you.

It's the third season's fault, really, as it is driving me to excessively draw these two every single day. ^_^ As to my process, I usually sketch in very light lines so I know where everything is, then start from the eyes and work my way out in detail. :)

Thank you so much for your lovely comment... I really appreciate it. :D (The bored expression on House's face was originally him grinning up at Wilson, but then I realized he wasn't really the type to do that in a public park bench. Of course, he really wouldn't be lying on Wilson's lap in a public park bench anyway, but... yeah. I'm not making any sense, lol.)

Thank you again! :D
