Finished my report today; I think we did pretty well. :)

On the slightly not-good side, I smoked three cigarettes after almost a year of abstinance.

Shit.

I was trying to avoid making an extra post tonight, but... yeah. I felt the need to separate the Emperor's Boy because I've been working on him so hard for so long that I felt that I owed him his own space. ^_^;;

Literally had to stop myself from fussing over this towards the end, because at that point I couldn't tell if it was done or not. ^_^;; Took me around 50 hours over the course of 3-4 weeks. Probably the single most difficult/confusing painting I've ever done in terms of what I wanted it to say... I'm just happy it's finally finished.

The E-zine they were featured on finally came out, so I just thought I'd pimp it to you guys in case any of you were interested. It's been a long time since I did a long painting, and now I remember why. ^_^;;

Doing a long piece (currently at 12 hours and counting), and I'm surprised at how many things I learned during my hiatus. It's not often that I translate my line art + colors to my flat-out painting, but a lot of my techniques seem to be merging with my old style. It makes me happy. :)

Whew! I'm spamming tonight, but I promise this is the last one. :D Finished taking pictures of all the plushies that need to be shipped tomorrow (that's 14 in all, finished right on deadline!), and I feel as if a great crushing pressure has been lifted from my shoulders.

I've been doing these commissions over the past few weeks, and I thought you all might want to take a look. :)

There's one tenipuri (Akutsu, Tachibana, Shinji - NC-17, not worksafe), three originals (variable xy posters), and one watercolor piece (non-anime). I'm also sticking my Konishi (he played Ibu Shinji in the tenimyus) painting here. :)

So. It's been a hectic past few days, but today I was able to finish a rather large chunk of my (art) load.

I was contacted a couple of months ago by a Fantasy website that wanted to feature some of my art, and I've basically been stewing in my creative juices trying to think of appropriate themes. It wasn't so much the actual drawing that hurt my brain-- it was the base concepts. (I haven't done fantasy in close to two years, and what they wanted was Surreal/Fantasy rather than the typical Medieval type.)

My ten art pieces + interview should be coming out next next week; I'll post a link once they put it up.
